wednesday walk

Today, Greta and I met up with my cousin, Subashi, and her daughter, Imari, for a nice fall walk. It was so beautiful outside. We had a nice lunch at the cafe in the library and fed our babies and then continued on the trail.

Hope everyone is enjoying the nice fall weather! We love it!

two bichons

We've enjoyed watching another bichon at our house this week. Sofie's breeder asked if we could watch her 2 year old bichon, Quiche (aka kissy), for a few days while she was out of town. We've been having so much fun with her. I wish I would have taken more pictures. Here's a few I snapped today with Greta and the dogs on the couch. Quiche loves Greta and is so good with her. Sofie, on other hand, is a little annoyed that Quiche is getting Greta's attention. The last time we watched Quiche was last November and Bijou was still with us then. I was surprised when we watched Quiche last fall that her and Bijou really took a liking to eachother. I think Sofie has enjoyed having Quiche around ( a little bit) and they've played together really well. Sofie is such a passive dog though. We were throwing the ball to Sofie last night and Quiche would jump off the couch and go chase after the ball too. When Sofie would see Quiche coming she would defer to her and let Quiche get the ball. At first Quiche would bring the ball back on the couch with her but after a few trys we were able to teach her to drop the ball by us. Quiche is so sweet and cuddly. We've really enjoyed having her around these last few days.

wonderful wedding weekend

My amazing friend for the past 21 years tied the knot yesterday. Sarah and I met in 7th grade pre-algebra class and we've been friends ever since. It was so special being a part of her wedding day. She looked GORGEOUS and married a wonderful man! Congrats Sarah and Reid! Our fun weekend started on Friday with mani/pedis at the salon for the bridal party, family, and friends. We then went to the rehearsal at the church followed by dinner in downtown Minneapolis. Jodi, Sarah, and I stayed in a hotel in downtown Minneapolis Friday night and I got more sleep than I have in 7 months.

Saturday morning we got up bright and early and headed to the Juut salon for hair and then makeup across the street at Mac. Then it was off to the church to get dressed and ready for the big day. Sarah was so organized throughout the planning process that everything went off without a hitch. It was a beautiful day.

Jodi and I enjoying an after-wedding libation.
wonderful high school friends. Isn't it funny that we all ended up in the twin cities (except Jodi)? She's only a couple hours away though- wish she was closer!
Chad and I had a rare night away from Greta. I was so excited to see my baby after the wedding. I guess she was a little excited to see me too since she woke up at 1:30am, 4am, and 7am the night of the wedding/morning after. Thanks Greta.
Sunday morning we went to Loring Park for a luncheon for family and friends.

milk for matthew

This beautiful boy lost his mommy when he was only 7 days old. One of his mom's desires was for him to have breast milk. She had pumped her first two bottles of breast milk the night before she died. I was lucky enough to have an oversupply and donated some of my breast milk this weekend for Matthew. There has been a good response so far but they would like to provide milk for Matthew for a year.

If you have some breast milk to donate you can find info here: http://mycharmingkids.net/2010/09/meeting-matthew/
Or contact me and I can forward your information.
You may have lost your mommy, Matthew, but there are many moms across the country that love you.

baby class

Greta started a new baby class today. It's in the evenings so Chad can also come to the class with us. This morning we also started a new session of baby storytime at the library. Greta enjoyed playing with all the shredded paper.

"Mommy, why do you take so many pictures?"
Greta was so excited to see her friend Harper too!
